I went to Oregon on a genealogy trip and when I came back everyone was gone. Don't tell the the Konkle's hibernate with the oncoming winter. I am trying to locate the Konkle who donated land for the Macedonia Baptist Cemetery in Madison, Jefferson County, Indiana. This person was a female, maiden name Konkle, but was not a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. Her property was next to the cemetery and she donated more land for graves according to the chuch. Does anyone have any idea who this was? I am not sure the year, but guessing between 1940-1980. I am also still looking for anyone who has information about John R. Konkle, possibly born in Switzerland Co. Indiana in 1841-43. I have two different dates on him. His father was possibly John Konkle from PA and may have had a brother Daniel also of Switzerland Co., IN. Daniel and John R's mother may possible have been Mary USHER from SC. Some of these Konkle's were tobacco farmers in Switzerland, Ripley and Jefferson County. Ring any bells with anyone? Infact, some are still farming tobacco.
