I haven't found more info on the Coffman's yet. I am finishing my Master's degree this year and as a gift to myself this summer when I finish, I will sign up for Ancestry.com again. Between work and school I haven't had time to work on my genealogy, though I check things on-line every now and then. I had one contact in the midwest who was a Martindale but I haven't spoken to her for awhile. She is the one who told me that Anna's mother's maiden name may have been Ensign. I know that Anna was "raised in the Pennsylvania woodlands among the Quakers" and "longed to have a flower in her bonnet but it was strictly forbidden". That's from a letter from my great-aunt.
