    3. If you can't find a volunteer in the area to access newspaper archives, you can probably order microfilms for the appropriate papers either through your local genealogical library or public library. You can contact the Wyandotte County Museum's Trowbridge Library to ask their advice on which papers are most likely to list your people, depending on what part of the county they lived in. E-mail info@wycokck.org http://www.wycokck.org/dept.aspx?id=804&menu_id=1012&ekmensel=1012_submenu_0_link_2 The major paper for Kansas City, Kansas, was "The Kansas City Kansan". Some people posted obits in the Missouri paper, "The Kansas City Star/Times". For the little farm areas to the West of KCK, "The Bonner Springs Chieftain" had columns and info. Some people used "The Leavenworth Times", in Leavenworth county, if they lived to the north of Wyandotte County. Death certificates can be ordered through the Wyandotte county courthouse. http://www.wycokck.org/dept.aspx?id=370&menu_id=554&ekmensel=554_submenu_1140_link_1 Good luck!
