My bet is that the address has not changed. I have a 1920 map of KCK that I will send you offline, however, it does not have Market St. It does have 18th St. I have several other suggestions. One is that you access WWI draft cards on Ancestry.com, if you have not. Second, the downtown KCK library has old city directories and used to have a genealogy librarian. http://www.kckpl.lib.ks.us/mainpage/main.htm Third, you can try the Wyandotte County Museum, which should have old maps and wills up through the early part of the 20th century. They may have other suggestions, such as tax lists or war records. http://www.wycokck.org/dept.aspx?id=770&menu_id=1012 Trowbridge Library http://www.wycokck.org/dept.aspx?id=804&menu_id=1012&ekmensel=1012_submenu_0_link_2 Fourth, I suggest that you also search in Kansas City, MO. It is simply over a viaduct and many people from KCK went back and forth to the sister city in MO. This is the link to marriage records. No Melvin Ellison, but you might search for other family. http://records.co.jackson.mo.us/results.asp Good Luck!
