    3. SCHEIDT, WYNE "The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Wednesday, January 29, 1913 SERVICES FOR ALIEN BABY HERE. Nearly all of the $50 necessary to pay the transportation charges for sending the body of the immigrant baby, Karle SCHEIDT, who died on the train coming into Kansas City Sunday morning, to his parents in California, had been collected last night. Mrs. George H. WYNE, 2834 Prospect Avenue, obtained $15.50 among the clerks and business men in the Board of Trade Building yesterday. Several other persons took up contributions at the stock yards and at the Baltimore Hotel. It is believed the required amount will be procured by noon today. Any surplus will be sent to the family. A short funeral service probably will be held at the Quirk & Dixon undertaking rooms tomorrow afternoon. A Russian-German minister will be asked to officiate. The body will then be sent to Fresno, where the chief of police has been asked to notify the parents and arrange for the burial. ====================================================== (I have no connection with these families but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) johnobrien@kc.rr.com ======================================================
