ECKERY Robert L. Eckery, 86, Kansas City, KS, passed away Friday, June 11, 1999, at Providence Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 14, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 53rd & Leavenworth Rd.; burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call 6-7 p.m. Sunday at Meyers Family Funeral Home, 6300 Parallel Pkwy, Kansas City, KS, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Theresa's Orphanage, c/o IndustrialState Bank, 3200 Strong, Kansas City, KS 66106. Mr. Eckery was born January 10, 1913, in Lincoln, NE. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. He owned and managed Bob's Barber Shop at 81st & Leavenworth Rd. for 30 years, retiring in 1989. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Isabell Eckery, in 1998. Survivors include his son, Paul Eckery, Kansas City, MO; daughter, Mary Wolf, Kansas City, KS; sister, Barbara Jodoin, Portland, OR; two granddaughters, Deborah Forbis and Stacey Bell, both of Kansas City, KS; and four great-grandchildren.
