J. MANNING (Mary/Maire) I've been looking for. We believe she may be the daughter of Julia Sheehan SULLIVAN. Jack SHEEHAN would have been her older half-brother. Her half-sister would have been my great-grandmother, Agnes Bridget Sheehan HOFFMAN. Julia Sheehan SULLIVAN's first husband died in an epidemic, and she remarried a John SULLIVAN. The family came to the US about 1860 and appeared in the 1860 census for DC. Our last record of their family was in the 1880 census for DC, except for the letter to my great-uncle from Mary MANNING. Jack's obit mentions that his mother died a few months prior to his death at age 89. Is it possible to check the obits for late 1903, early 1904 for a Julia SULLIVAN? Thanks again! P.
