The Argentine Advocate Wyandotte County Saturday June 116, 1888 Killed. On Wednesday night three men tried to board train No. 72 at Turkey Creek. Two of them succeeded in boarding the baggage car, but the third one, who gave his name as John EVANS, of Montreal, Canada, was struck by the pilot and had both feet cut off, and a bad gash made in his head. He was picked up in this condition by the transfer crew some time afterward and brought out to Argentine. Dr. E.C. Chapman, the company's physician, was sent for, but the man did not rally, and early Thursday morning died at the switch santy, near the passenger depot, from the effect of the accident.
