The Argentine Advocate Wyandotte County Saturday June 23, 1888 On Monday evening last the body of Christopher BARUSE was found in the Kaw river near Turner. An inquest was held by Coroner DOWNS, and it was ascertained that Baruse had gone into the river at Holliday, Sunday, for the purpose of bathing, and was taken with cramps and drowned. Baruse was a Polander; and was employed as a section hand on the Santa Fe railroad.
