The Waldron family was large. With at least two families in the Piper area in the 1920's. One family resided near the county line in the Victory Junction area and they attended Brauer School. Brauer was a school district that serviced children from both Wyandotte and Leavenworth counties back then. I believe it was once Coffey school (as per a 1860 map of the area) The first Brauer school house burned. The second was moved east of it's orginal site by about 3 acres and is now used as a home. The third is still standing and belongs to Wyandotte Christian Church at 136th and Leavenworth Road. Another Waldron family resided nearer to Wolcott. One family settled on the other side of the river directly across from Wolcott hence the town of Waldron and Waldron Rd. of that area. The Brauers lived in the area now referred to as Victory Junction. They were very good friends of the Treff's. The Coleman family moved south to Johnson county and are the family that owns and operates Coleman implements just south of the river. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to KSWYANDO-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message **************Know Your Numbers: Get tips and tools to help you improve your credit score.
