    3. Arlene, two questions: what is her name and why do you think the name of the street has changed? There is Kansas Ave. now. ----- Original Message ----- From: "arlene mckane" <amckane@hotmail.com> To: <kswyando@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, January 08, 2009 8:40 PM Subject: Re: [Wyandotte County] obtaining obituary Thank you so much I will try the optioins you gave me... I was able to get some information from the government office - so I do have her date of death and the it lists the address of her 'usual residence' ---- it states 401 Kansas Avenue. She died September 8, 1906 so that is the time period that this was the street name. If anyone knows any info about this area at the time -- I would be so appreciative. Thank you again. Arlene

    3. Her name was Dora Frankel. The street name --- that was definitely my error ... I had not been able to locate that general address.... and I had read that at one point in time some/many street names had changed --- so in this case I began exploring the possiblity of finding out if that location in 1906 --- what would that be now so i could see the general area.... Thank you so much Can I ask one more thing - not this location related but thought someone on this board might have a suggestion where i should look --- I had always been told she came from Germany - the census i have shows Germany of birthplace of the children mother --- the statement of her death that i have lists the Birthplace as Georgia..... Now there is a Georgia - in the Soviet Union area - but need to see if I can understand the discrepancy..... Of course this information could be incorrect - as it was put into a book and one of the clerks provided it to me.... so just not sure......So I am going to try to ask some questions on the right board Take care > From: JohnOBrien@kc.rr.com> To: kswyando@rootsweb.com> Date: Thu, 8 Jan 2009 20:48:39 -0600> Subject: Re: [Wyandotte County] obtaining obituary> > Arlene, two questions: what is her name and why do you think the name of > the street has changed? 1. [Wyandotte County] 410 Kansas Ave, KCK
    2. John O'Brien
    3. Arlene, if you use Google Maps and street view, you can see 410 Kansas Ave, Kansas City, KS, as it looks today. If you put "Germany" in the "find a board" search on RootsWeb, you'll have a couple of sources to check.
