My grandfather, Jesse Orville Turner, was a bookkeeper for Armours. They had four children Evelyn Ryan, Lewis V. Ryan (b. abt. 1900) Violet Ryan (b. abt. 1902) and Rosa M Ryan (b. abt 1907) I am trying to find descendants of any of these people. Martin Engelbrecht and Lena (Engelbrecht) Ryan had more brothers: William, Simon, Henry, George and Frank Engelbrecht. At least one of these brothers lived near Clarence & Lena Ryan and worked at a meat packing company. I wonder if it was the Armor Packing Company I read about in another post? He could have been a foreman or in management of some kind. The Martin Engelbrecht family has had family reunions in 2004, 2006 and 2008. I would very much like contact with some of the descendants of his brothers and his sister Lena Ryan. Martin & Lena Engelbrecht's mother Elizabeth Engelbrecht died at Lena Ryan's home in 1921. Thanks to John for posting her obituary that I spotted about a year ago. We would not have that information had you not put it on the board! I do not know where Lena or Clarence Ryan are buried, but I imagine it was in Wyandotte County. Thanks for reading!
