Also find a R. L. Cahill in Bethel, Ks. 1926. Keep in mind this is some sort of subscription book that Evelyn Treff had in conjunction with some type of fund raiser for St. Patrick's Church Basehor, Ks. R.L. Cahill donated 25 cents. I'll keep looking. -----Original Message----- From: kswyando-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:kswyando-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Judy Sent: Tuesday, January 27, 2009 3:26 PM To: kswyando@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [Wyandotte County] Dail question YESSSS Cahill was the sir-name of three children in the household of Robert Henry Newton on the 1870 census. Later this has changed: Patrick Cahill has disappeared (possibly died) William Robert and Thomas E. are listed with the sir-name of Newton in Robert Henry Newton's household. Was that an error or were these three little boys actually the sons of R.H. Newton's relative and were adopted? Judy jryden@charter.net Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass.... thanks. this has been a mystery that I dropped a long time ago and only recently took up again. It's such an odd item, but it could be a clue to either Martha or Robert Henry Newton's side of the family. Perhaps the parents of these three children died in the Civil War. Perhaps this was Martha's or Robert Henry's sister married to a Cahill. Or were these the children of a half brother of either of them?
