I'm in Columbia MO but lived in the KC area until 2002, My grandfather Harry Bronson McGonigal was raised by his childless aunt and uncle, Charles Samuel "Sam" and Annie Leota Cook McGonigal. Sam was Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas and later, Registrar of Deeds for Wyandotte County. Sam and Annie are buried in Woodlawn Cemetery (KCK) as is Annie's mother, Sarah Ann Nichols Cook, and her brother William Norval Cook. The Cooks came from Ohio. Sarah's husband Henry. a blacksmith, was in the state penitentiary at Lansing on the 1880 census and was a widower in Texas County, MO in 1900; Sarah died in 1896. I have some information on Annie's siblings. Surnames they married into are Lattimore, Allen, Pflager, Arendt, and Knight, Most moved to the Missouri side and died there in the 1930s. I'm also looking for more information on my uncle's family. His father was Walter Foster; mother is either Lala or Lola, probably Lola. Walter's father was Leonard; wife Malinda or Mary, possibly one of each. The family was in Wyandotte County from at least 1900 on, mostly in Argentine. Always willing to share what I have.
