    3. Grandpa Treff always attended the funerals of those that he could. He kept newspaper obits and funeral home plackards. Here are a few that I have time to enter. Ernest H. Einhellig, Jr., Woodrow Towner, Bill Coulter Mike Colter Final Resting Place Edwardsville, Cemetery-Edwardsville, Kansas Henry Clay Petro, Jr. January 16, 1905 April 12, 1969. Services 10AM Tuesday April 15, 1969 Floral Hills Chapel, Interment Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. ( Henry graduated from Piper High School in 1925). Mrs. Myrtle Barker Entered into eternal rest Thursday February 22, 1973. Mrs. Myrtle Clara Barker, 88, Bonner Springs, died yesterday at St. Margaret's Hospital. She was a lifelong Wyandotte County resident. She was a member of the Maywood Community Church in Wyandotte County. She leaves two sons, Lloyd Barker Bonner Springs, and Roy Barker 10746 State, Kansas City, Kansas, a brother Larry Miller, Mexico, Mo., and a sister Jane Goble Bonner Springs; four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Services will be at 2Pm Monday at the Alden Harrington Chapel, Bonner Springs, burial in the Bonner Springs, cemetery. **contributors notes Myrtle's son Roy graduated from Piper in 1925. Roy married Evelyn Treff. Myrtle was aunt to Howard Miller 1928 graduate of Piper High School. Her son Lloyd ran and operated Barker's gas station at 115th & Parallel for many years (there now is Wood Oil station). Her son Roy & wife Evelyn resided at 107th and State avenue property taken for the race track construction. Many members of this family still in Piper area. Eva Wise Jons Eva Wise Jons, 88, Lansing, died August 21 1995, at Colonial Manor in Lansing. Mrs. Jons was born April 1, 1907 in Piper and was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of the Piper Baptist Church and the Graham Chapter No 395 Order of thr Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her first husband Charles Wise Sr., in 1972 and her second husband Harry Jons in 1982. She is survived by three sons, Charles Wise Jr., Kansas City, Gary Wise, McLouth, and Robert Wise, Tulsa Oklahoma, a daughter Doris Mogle, Kansas City, Kansas, nine grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. Services will be at Alden Harrington chapel in Bonner Springs. Burial in the Bonner Springs cemetery. Family suggess memorials to the Haven Baptist Church or the American Heart Association. *contributors note: Eva Blankenship Wise Jons graduated from Piper in 1925. Haven Baptist Church now located at 3800 Hutton Road it was at 106th and Parallel currently being demolished for the new WalMart. Mr. Walter Charles Bachnick Age 49 years Date of death January 28, 1969 Memorial services at Bethel Lutheran Church 2801 No. 83rd Kansas City, Kansas Friday January 31, 1969 2PM Interment Bonner Springs, Kansas Cemetery. **contributors note Bachnicks at one time resided in the Victory Junction area.
