Both of these are from The Kansas City STAR, Wednesday, October 18, 1961, Vol. 82, No. 31 (The STAR is published in Kansas City, MO) on page 6A, column 5 Ira Earl Nuzum, 74, of 942 Kansas {ave.}, Kansas City, Kansas, died yesterday in a Los Angles hospital after suffering a heart attack on a fishing trip. He was in California visiting a son, Joseph M. Nuzum of Whittier. Mr. Nuzum was a real estate broker in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born in Devon, Kas., and moved to Kansas City, Kansas, 30 years ago. He was a member of the Nine Mile Masonic Lodge at Lansing, Kas.; Abdallah Shrine and the Devon Methodist church. He also leaves his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Nuzum of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Leisure, 7929 Park, and Mrs. Vivienne Lebo, Huston, Tex.; three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Services will be at 2 o'clock Saturday at the Butler chapel; burial in Memorial park cemetery, Kansas City, Kansas. Friends may call after noon Friday at the chapel. On page 4F, column 5 Nuzum-Ira Earl, age 74, of 942 Kansas ave., passed away Oct. 17, Whittier, Calif. Mr. Nuzum will lie in state after Friday noon at the Butler funeral home, where services will be held 2 p. m. Saturday. Interment Memorial Park. Jos.
