"The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Saturday, May 24, 1913 Charles William LOHSE, 58 years old, for thirty-five years a resident of Kansas City, died at 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon at his home, corner of Independence and Home avenues, Mount Washington. For the last fourteen years Mr. LOHSE operated a wine garden near Fairmount Park, known as the Lohse Wine Garden. Prior to that time he was engaged in the coal and feed business at 1304 Grand Avenue, at which time he was identified with politics. He was an Eagle. His wife, Mrs. Mary L. LOHSE, and a son, Charles W. LOHSE, Jr., survive. Funeral services will be at the home tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in Mount Washington Cemetery. (I have no connection with this family.)
