It usually means one of several things: he re-married and was buried with the second wife; he left the area to live with a grown child and they bury him near them; there's some sort of weird family feud among children about the burial place; or he's in one of these older now-park-managed cemeteries, he just didn't get marked and there are poor records. It doesn't sound like the last option, since there is not record at the funeral home. If you are a distance, it's a problem, but the KCK courthouse does have marriage books and so does the Wyandotte County Museum so you could look for a marriage for him or get the married names of the daughters so you can see if there were any children living elsewhere or if he could have married. I suggest that you also consult the Wyandotte County Museum for suggestions. http://www.wycokck.org/gen/wyco_generated_pages/Trowbridge_Research_Library_m1019.html info@wycokck.org Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
