Highland Park does have some obits for persons buried in their cemetery but not for everyone. There are dozens of cemeteries in KCKS and many are very large. The address for City Hall is 701 N. 7th St., Kansas City, KS 66101. The courthouse had marriage books years ago that you could go there and search through yourself, but staff was not available to perform any searches for anyone. I don't know if that's changed or not. City Hall never had any type of records like that years ago, when there was a definite division in county and city, but since the Unified Government of KCKS was formed, it's hard to tell where to find records any more. The Wyandotte County Museum might be a better option and I know lots of people have found good information from there, myself included.
