Fire destroyed the food barns of the Price Blackmore Coal Company, 810-12 South Twelfth Street, Kansas side, last night. The confectionary store at 814 South Twelfth Street, owned by Stephen KIRBY, was damaged by water from a broken hose which had been run through the place. About 7:30 a woman, who was passing by the barns, dropped her ring. Several men who were near, struck matches in order to help her find it. The head from one of the matches fell through a crack in the wooden wall of the barn and started the fire. Four horses that were in the barn were gotten out by the firemen. The damage to both buildings was about $1,400. ====================================================== neirbo7 Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
