    3. "The Kansas City Journal" (Missouri) Sunday, March 26, 1911 STOPS TO PICK UP VICTIM. While playing marbles in the street near his home yesterday afternoon, Bertie, the 5-year-old son of James L. PERSON, 1834 Holly street, was struck by a motorcycle but was not seriously injured. The mother of the boy told the police that the man ridding the machine stopped and carried the boy to her. She says he rode away again without giving his name but she noticed that the motorcycle belonged to the Kansas City Natural Gas Company. The child was taken to the General hospital where Dr. W. L. TAYLOR dressed a two-inch scalp wound and finding no trace of a fracture, sent him home. The police last night were unable to find the motorcycle or its rider. ====================================================== (I have no connection with this family but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) johnobrien@kc.rr.com ======================================================
