A freshly oiled boulevard, with no watchman to give warning, was the cause of an accident at the entrance to Penn Valley from St. Mary's Hospital, this afternoon. A motor car, driven by Dr. R. J. O'DONNELL of 722 Southwest Boulevard had just turned into Penn Valley when the rear wheels skidded on the oil. The car struck the curb and turned over. In the car with Doctor O'DONNELL were Mrs. James KILMER, the wife of a Wyandotte County commissioner and her daughter, Miss Eva KILMER, 20 years old. Mrs. KILMER's right knee was wrenched and her right wrist sprained. Miss Eva was injured internally. Doctor O'DONNELL received only a few scratches. The injured women were taken to their home, 1226 Kansas City Avenue, Rosedale. "The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Tuesday, May 16, 1911 MOTOR VICTIMS ARE OUT OF DANGER. Miss Eva KILMER and her mother, Mrs. James KILMER of 1226 Kansas City Avenue, Rosedale, who were injured yesterday morning in a motor car accident in Penn Valley Park, are resting easily and are out of danger.
