Surnames: BROWN Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HAB.2ACI/880.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Rats... no, that is not him. This Edward's wife's name Nannie. They had 3 children. He was not in WW1 and he was a JP in Muncie. I have a picture of him in 1959 and he was 91 at the time. Maybe he did not have an SS number. Thanks for looking. Charles

    3. Hi, I'm not saying that that the Edward B. that Gregory sent you is your Edward, however, you might keep it on the burner and not discount it. The WWI draft registration doesn't mean he was in the war, it was merely registration. Also, the name 'Nannie' could be a nickname unrelated to the real name. Or Edward's first wife could have died and he remarried. Or 'Frannie'(from Francis) became 'Nannie'. A Justice of the Peace position usually wasn't the only job that someone in a small town performed. It was in addition to a regular job. Sometimes it was a job performed after retirement from a regular job. Here is the list of Edward B.'s children, from the 1930 US Census. He is still an asbestos worker. August E Brown<http://search.ancestrylibrary.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=1930usfedcen&indiv=try&h=34095730> 21 Loretta F Brown<http://search.ancestrylibrary.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=1930usfedcen&indiv=try&h=34095731> 18 Clarence B Brown<http://search.ancestrylibrary.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=1930usfedcen&indiv=try&h=34095740> 13 Frank C Brown<http://search.ancestrylibrary.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=1930usfedcen&indiv=try&h=34095728> 3 11/12 I do urge you to contact the Wyandotte County Museum. They may have a resource that lists justices of the peace. Or know how to get that info. info@wycokck.org Good luck, Pat On 13 Nov 2006 08:49:17 -0700, cbrown@rocketsoftware.com <cbrown@rocketsoftware.com> wrote: > > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: BROWN > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HAB.2ACI/880.1.1.1.1 > > Message Board Post: > > Rats... no, that is not him.
