    1. A question re: the Harmon family in 1860 in Quindaro
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: HARMON, RENAHLT, BUZICK Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HAB.2ACI/862 Message Board Post: I'm hopeful that someone can help me with a mystery that I've been attempting to solve for many years. I'm inquiring about the HARMON family that lived in Quindaro in 1860. Below I have a listing from the 1860 Federal Census that I believe may be my GGG-grandmother and her third husband, David Harmon. In 1870 Sarah is living in Towanda, McLean Co. Illinois without David, but with Andrew. I believe that David Harman may have died sometime between 1860 and 1870 in Quindaro and then Sarah relocated to Illinois to be closer to her two sons from her first marriage: Elias and Arthur Buzick. 1860 Federal Census - Kansas, Wyandotte Co., Quindaro HERMAN, David age 73 b. VA Mill Wright HERMAN, Sarah age 41 b. OH HERMAN, Andrew age 10 b. IA (next door to David & Sarah lived a family that may have been Sarah’s daughter Elizabeth) RENHALT, William age 25 b. IN RENHALT, Elizabeth age 20 b. IA RENAHLT, Iulius age 1 b. MO Any help you could lend would be greatly appreciated Luci Baker

    3. The only help that I can offer, Lucy, is to tell you that there weren't recorded death certificates during that time and your only shot at finding David is probably some sort of cemetery record. I suggest that you contact the Wyandotte County Museum for info on the most likely cemeteries that he would have been buried in and how to go about getting a look-up. http://www.wycokck.org/gen/wyco_generated_pages/Trowbridge_Research_Library_m1019.html Patricia On 19 Aug 2006 03:53:53 -0600, ljbaker2@earthlink.net < ljbaker2@earthlink.net> wrote: > > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: HARMON, RENAHLT, BUZICK > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HAB.2ACI/862 > > Message Board Post: > > I'm hopeful that someone can help me with a mystery that I've been > attempting to solve for many years.
