You really need an exact date of death for Tom Johnson. You can get a copy of a death certificate from this address: Office of Vital Statistics, Charles B. Curtis State Office Building, 1000 SW Jackson Street, Suite 120, Topeka, KS 66612-1221; 785-296-1400 If you want to try to find the burial place for Tom Johnson, you can see if he is recorded in any databases at the Wyandotte County Museum info@wycokck.org. They might also have a list of all Wyandotte County cemeteries that you can call. Places like Mt. Muncie keep very good records. Once of the problems you could encounter is that sometimes Kansas City, KS, people opted to be buried in Kansas City, MO cemeteries. If you have not checked the Kansas City Star/Times for obituaries, it is often the paper of choice, even though it is located in Missouri. I don't where to go for the archives, but I noticed that Tom worked for the railroad. Some railroads had in-house publications and published employee news, including deaths. Good luck, Patricia Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
