John, on the Harper County KS list, a man named Jim Laird sends in posts from the old newspapers, namely the Harper Advocate, but he does several other counties also with their old newspapers. It has been so helpful to so many people who otherwise would not know what their ancestors had been up to "way back when". Have you considered doing the same - or would it be too time-consuming for you? He gets the microfilms interlibrary loan, and sends in posts about births, deaths, local newsworthy items, accidents, farm sales, etc. Similar to what you have posted here. Hope you have a good day!! I just thought I would add this to your messages as I've researched in Mercer Co PA for Robb families. Sandy Creek Twp. is in Mercer Co. Louise ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
I have also been seeking information on Ferguson relatives in Washington, PA. I have consulted maptech historical maps to see if Sandy Creek is nearby. It appears they may be in the same general region of the Pennsylvania James Ferguson, b. 1729 Ireland, d. 1787 Nottingham Twp., Washington, PA. when his daughter Azubah Vance Ferguson (1759-1840) married James Munn (1755-1839) the family moved to Scioto, OH, where the Munn family line remained for several generations before moving to Missouri...and then Wyandotte County, Kansas.
