Also in the 1920 census, Harry had a wife named Charline and a son named Franklin, born about August 1917. I will send, off list, the U.S. Public Records listings for Franklin DeGraw. The only close match for Annie and Carl Degraw is in the 1895 Kansas State Census for Kansas City Ward 3, Wyandotte County, KS. HOWEVER, they give birthplaces of the U.S. I don't know whether, from your posting, they were born here or not. I can tell you that sometimes immigrants also lied about their places of birth. It says they traveled from Missouri to Kansas. So I looked in the 1880 US census in Missouri. I'm sure it's the same couple. This time Anna's birthplace is listed as Sweden. They have two additional older children. The descendants can probably be traced on Ancestry.com. I found one of the children in the 1900 census in Kansas City, KS. When she left Sweden she was going to visit her daughter in Kansas City, according to ellisisland.org. She was travelling together with August Forsberg, b 1842, Alfred Forsberg, b 1853, and Frank Forsberg, b 1857. They were brothers and American citizens living in Kansas City, also according to ellisisland.org. I assume that these were brothers of her son-in-law John Forsberg, married to her daughter Christina Augusta Petersson, b 1853 in Sweden. Does anyone have any information of these brothers Forsberg? Who they married and if they had any children? I'm still also looking for birthdate of John (Johan) Forsberg. I don't even know if he was born in Sweden or in the US. Did John Forsberg and Christina Augusta Petersson have any children? Any help on this family Forsberg would be gratefully appreciated! John J. Kraft married Hazel M Whilhite about 1906. As far as I have been able to determine with census records, they had one child, Louise Margaret b. about 1907. She is listed as the wife of John J. Lysaught in the 1930 census. John J. Kraft had a grocery store in KCK in the 1920's and 1930's according to the census. I would like more information on this family. Thank you, Kathleen Gregory
