    2. The Washington Republican Washington County Friday April 24, 1896 Miss Lillie McCORMICK went to Clifton Friday. J.W. BARLEY attended the Encampment at Beloit. Mrs. KELLEY visited friends in Hanover last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. A.H. STOUT spent Sunday in Haddam. Wm. SCHAAR and Dan KING left Tuesday for Cabool, Mo. E.HAWK, father of S.D. HAWK, was down from Haddam Tuesday. Mrs. CARNAHAN living three miles east of town, left for Fairview, Kan., Saturday in response to a telegram announcing the death of her father. Russell G. LOWE closed a very successful seven months school in Dist. No. 129 in Lowe township last Friday and is at home again enjoying a vacation.
