    2. The Washington Republican Washington County Friday June 14, 1901 Jas. T. WORLEY, was born Sept. 2nd, 1841, in Harrison county, Ohio, and died June 5th, 1901, in Washington, Kansas. He was of a family of 14 children, 12 girls and 2 boys, he being the last to leave the scenes of time. He was married Jan. 27th, 1867, to Miss Mary GOODWIN at Decatur, Ill. To this union were born 9 children, two having died and 7 remain with their mother to mourn his departure. He has lived in this city 8 years. He located at Haddam 19 years ago, formerly he lived in Indiana, Iowa, and Illinois. He spent nearly three years in the Union army doing brave and loyal service. He was wounded by a sharp shooter after the battle of Kenesaw mountains. This wound caused much suffering all during his life, and like many who defended the unity and freedom of the country he was always pleased by giving such good service to his country. He lived a member of the church since the close of the war, and his last moments were filled with rich peace and satisfactory contentment o! btained through faith in the blessed Savior of men. His funeral was held in the M.E. church conducted by his pastor. J.G. HENDERSON.
