    2. The Washington Republican Washington County Friday July 14, 1901 Lewis Clinton BEESON was born in Wayne county, Indiana, April 8th, 1856, died in Fairhaven, Washington, June 9th, 1901. He was the oldest son of O.H. Beeson, who lives 5 miles northwest of Palmer, Kansas. When Clinton was nine years old his parents moved to Cass county, Nebraska, where they lived until May 1873, when they moved to Washington county, Kansas. On Dec. 23rd, 1877, Mr. Beeson was married to Belle McATEE, whose parents lived two miles west of Linn, Kansas. To them was born one daughter, Effie. He was a member of the A.O.U.W. lodge at Palmer, Kansas. Two years ago the 10th day of January, he with his family, started for New Whatcom, Washington, where they lived until his death. Mr. Beeson leaves as mourners a wife, daughter, father, mother, eight brothers and two sisters, and many friend in this county. He was honest and upright in all his dealings with his fellowmen, and his many friends will be pained to hear of his death, but God has called him to his reward. A Brother.
