The Washington Republican Washington County Friday July 5, 1901 Dr. P.R. PENCE was born at Dayton, Ohio, June 2, 1859, died June 24, 1901, at Clifton, Kansas. Deceased located at Clifton, Kansas, March 10, 1898 and established himself as a veterinary surgeon. Was married to Mrs. Ida SHAFER, of this city. He was a very cheerful man with a kind word and a smile for every one. He made many friends and one who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services was conducted by Rev. H. E. McBRIDE at the M.E. church, June 25. Remains were laid to rest in the I.O.O.F. cemetery north of town. A Friend.
