GRINDLE returned to Frankfort Monday where he is engaged in business. Saturday night, Jan. 11, '97, a surprise was given in honor of Mr. Geo. NYCE, Jr. at his home on his 19th birthday and was attended by the members of this class of the high school in Washington and his host of young friends in this vicinity. His class presented him with a fine gold chain as a mark of the high esteem in which he is held. A most enjoyable time was had. Refreshments were served after which the guests departed wishing for hime many more such enjoyable events.
