    2. The Washington Republican Friday November 23, 1900 Throop. Geo. CAMPBELL contemplates leaving in a few days for a visit to his old home in Wisconsin. We hope he will have a pleasant visit. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Harve FRASIER, Nov. 9th, a son. Misses Ida and Cora WOLF, of Washington, and Mr. BENTLEY of Narka were guests of Miss Nellie PRUITT last Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. L.C. McCORMICK and Mr. and Mrs. O.P. STEELE drove down near Ruscoe to the home of A.WOLF, to help celebrate that gentleman's birthday. This was a surprise to him which he greatly enjoyed. Mr. WOLF was born in Green county, Ohio, Nov. 17, 1817. He came to Iowa in 1840; he and his wife lived in Henry county, at Prairie Gem 40 years, and came to Kansas 11 years ago. There were at this gathering of Mr. WOLF's children one son and his wife who live near Narka, and four daughters and their husbands who live in Washington county, two married granddaughters and their husbands, twenty-one grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; there were also a number of friends present and some from quite a distance. Mr. WOLF and his wife have traveled married life together for 57 years and is said to be the oldest married couple in Brantford township. They have two sons and 5 daughters living, have 49 grandhchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Mr. WOLF received many nice and useful! presents as tokens of respect in remembrance of this day. When evening came and the farewells were spoken we heard the remark, "we wish your birthday came thrice a year."
