    3. The Washington Republican Washington County Friday October 30, 1896 Mrs. S.T. McMAINS died at her home in the east part of Washington on Monday evening last October 26, at about 8 o'clock. She was taken sick on Friday night with some disease of the lungs, and being in a delicate condition the end soon came. She leaves a husband and four small children to mourn the loss of a kind mother. Mr. McMains and his helpless little ones have the profound sympathy of the community.
