Since your name is Pardun I assume you are related to her. Here is what I know about Eleanor, she was married to Louis Napoleon Fetters April, 1878 in Farmington, Iiiinois. He was 24 and she was 23. They left Illinois in 1885 and traveled to Kansas in a covered wagon arriving in South Haven, Kansas August 1880. Eleanor in the Wellington Monito-Press was reproted to have filed divorce proceedings against Louis March 14, 1895. They were living together during the 1900 census and th4eir daughter Tacy was born Dec 1898 wo they obviously reconciled thier domestic problems for a while. But on July 10, 1902 the Wellington Monitor-Press reproted the divorce of Ella and Louis on the basis of Cruelty.Eleanor married Herman Heitman on March 23, 1901in South Haven. No divorce records have been fourn for Ella and Herman; however, it is known Ella later had to have married A.J. Smith but wa! s divorced from him when she died in 1922. Ella's daughter Lulu Belle Wycoff got me working on genealogy and never mentioned the divorce nor did my grandfather Louis Floyd Fetters. Can you fill in any of the blanks on Eleanor's life for me. It is possible she did not even have any contact with her ex-husband James during that time, didn't know whether he was dead or alive and maybe she only wished he was dead! ;) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I have his birth date as 12 September 1872; but it might be 1871. I have his information from birth through 1915 census records. He left his wife, Eva Stott Pugh sometime after 1915. I have his wife and children's information. I can't find where he went or when he died. Would really like to know his death date/place with burial location. Don't know if this will help or not. The 1920 census Trego County, states that his wife is divorced; but the 1930 census states that she ia a widow. Wondering if he died between 1920 and 1930. If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. Yes, I sent these earlier to someone else, I guess and they never were used. My grandparents grew up in that area and lived there most of their lives. Jason had a creamery downtown. I think they should be included in a Trego County website. Thanks, Janeice Crosson

    1. [KSTREGO] New research site for Trego County
    2. Sheryl McClure
    3. Hello all- As part of my "Kansas History and Heritage Project," I have created a website for Trego County: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~kstreghp/index.html My new, free website features: ~ 1894 and 1917 G.A.R. posts and rosters ~ Over 50 older obituaries ~ 1887 Farm Census substitute ~ 1884-1885 Gazetteer and Business Directory ~ 1887 County map and town plats ~ 1887 Trego County Business Directory ~ "School Reports," various years ~ "Roll of Honor," Early pioneers of Trego County and more! I plan to add much more data in the coming months. Also, be sure to check out my "Online Counties" page to see if I have a website for your other Kansas counties of interest. I hope you will have a look at my new website, and if you have any corrections, suggestions, questions or want to contribute pictures or data, I will be happy to hear from you. I am moving on to my next county in the project, but I will come back to Trego County from time to time to add data, so please bookmark this site. I will announce any major additions of data on this list. This website features a search engine, but I strongly urge you to browse the data, as some of the spelling of surnames is questionable. Trego is the 47th county in this project--only 58 counties to go! I hope to have all Kansas counties online within the next two years, but until I can gather enough data for a specific county, I will store the files for that county on the state website: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~kahhp/index.html This website houses also statewide information (such as maps, military histories, college files, etc.) as well as serving as a repository for data for the "orphan" counties, and links to counties that do have their own sites. Sheryl
