    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday January 23, 1966 C.W. Wright Sr., Is Dead at Age 75. Charles Wesley WRIGHT, Sr., 75, formerly of Topeka, died Saturday at his home at Perry following a heart attack. He was born August 4, 1890 at Perry. He grew up in Topeka and attended Topeka High School and Strickler Business School. He was chief clerk of the passenger traffic department of Santa Fe Railway before he retired in 1957 after 50 years of service with the railway. He lived at 2205 High in Topeka before returning to Perry in 1945. He was a member of the Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge No. 415, AF&AM, and Ramona Chapter No. 431, Order of Eastern Star, all at Perry. He was a past president of the Kansas State Beekeepers Assn., and was a member of the Santa Fe Old Timers Club. He was active in Boy Scout work in the Topeka area. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary K. Wright, of the home; a son, Mayor Charles W. Wright, Jr., 1820 Mission; two daughters, Mrs. Ruty HUPE, Perry, and Mrs. Mary MAGNUSON, Waukegan, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Helen DUKE, at St. Louis, Mo.; and seven grandchildren. Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
