    3. The Topeka Daily State Journal Tuesday October 1, 1918 Deaths and Funerals. The funeral of Mrs. J.W. HAUGHEY, of Topeka, who died in Aledo, Ill., was held Monday in Aledo. She is survived by her husband, two sons; Dr. Leo Haughey, a lieutenant in the medical corps in France and Glenn Haughey, a commissioned officer in the medical corps and a daughter, Mrs. Kurtz KELLAM. The family moved to Wellington, Kan., from Aledo many years ago. Twelve years ago they moved to Topeka. FLoyd D. BAILEY, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Bailey, Twentieth and Lime streets, died at Camp Grant, Rockford, Ill., last Saturday. The body will arrive here today. Funeral announcements later. Chris J. DEVLIN, who lived in Topeka for thirty-five years, until six years ago, died Monday at his home in Denver, Colo., according to a telegram received by his son, John Devlin, 518 Monroe. Chris Devlin is survived by his wife and son. A brother-in-law, William BROOKS lives at 2035 Buchanan street. Funeral service and burial in Denver. The funeral service of Joseph Rollins CARPENTER was held Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the residence, 719 East Eighth street. Burial in Mt. Auburn cemetery.
