    3. The Topeka Daily State Journal Saturday October 5, 1918 Deaths and Funerals. Thomas STEELE, age 40, died Friday at 410 East Crane street. Funeral announcements later. Frank SMITH, age 45, died at a local hospital Friday. The body will be taken to Hiawatha, Kan., for burial. Mrs. Sarah Margaret CANAN, age 88, died at 6:30 this morning at her home, 1524 College avenue. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. D.H. ROWLAND, Miss Anna E. CANAN, Mrs. Sarah Canan McNABB, of Evanston, Illinois, Miss Flora CANAN, and a granddaughter, Miss Amy Rowland. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon. Burial in Topeka cemetery. Joe Walter ROBB, of Wakarusa, a member of Company G.,135th Infantry died Thursday at Camp Dix, New Jersey. Funeral annoucements later.
