The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday January 27, 1966 Sophie Hamaker. Services for Mrs. Sophie Evans Hamaker, 72, 110 W. 29th, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in McClintock Chapel at Grace Cathedral. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. She died Wednesday morning in a Topeka hospital. Born Feb. 18, 1893 at Philadelphia, Mrs. Hamaker spent her early years in Topeka. She and her husband, William F. Hamaker, moved to Scranton, Kan., after their marriage in 1918. They returned to Topeka 15 years ago. Besides her husband, survivors included a sister, Mrs. Susie STEINER< 615 Summit. Mrs. Hamaker will lie in state from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Brennan Funeral Home.
