The Topeka Daily Capital Saturday January 29, 1966 Services Monday For J.H. Spiker. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Parker Mortuary for James H. (Vern) SPIKER, 54, 2717 Minnesota, who died Thursday in a Topeka hospital where he had been a patient since Jan. 6. He had undergone abdominal surgery Jan. 17. He was born Nov. 14, 1911 at Perry and spent most of his life in Topeka. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a paint foreman at Kansas Neurological Institute. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Georgia Mae Spiker, of the home; a son, J.C. Spiker, of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Leona (Cookie) BESTA, Rossville, and Patricia (Patty) Spiker, Carolyn Spiker and Misty Ann Spiker, all of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.J. MOBLEY, 1911 E. 23rd; two brothers, Ernest W. (Swede) MOBLEY, Long Beach, Calif.; and W.F. (Bud) Mobley, Independence, Mo.; and three sisters, Mrs. Dean F. COVERT, 1403 E. 24th, Mrs. Edward BROWN, 5518 W. 15th, and Mrs. Leo BOYDSTON, 1911 E. 23rd. Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery.
