    3. Jim Laird orders microfilm from the Kansas State Historical Society and transcribes the obits which are such a great treasure to this mailing list. The KSHS participates in interlibrary loan so if your local library participates, you can order newspapers from the time frame in question and check for obits. You can even post what you find to this list, as Jim Laird does, to help others in their research. The link to check for dates and newspapers available is: http://www.kshs.org/library/news.htm Best of luck with your search! Susie JGuppy7812@aol.com wrote: I was afraid of that. Mr. Miller was car foreman of the Santa Fe Railroad for a long time. He was a member of Temple Lodge No. 6, A.F. & A.M., Pilgrim Commandary Knights Templar and Ballut Abyad Temple of the Shrine, and a member of the Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, one son Lee A. MILLER, and a daughter, Mrs. Helen McCLENDON, all of Albuquerque; also by two sisters, Mrs. Gus [Minnie] BAHNMIER and Miss Marie MILLER of Topeka, Kas, and two brothers, Frank Miller and Don [John W. not Don] Miller. Funeral services will be held at the chapel of the Exter Mortuary at 3:30 Wednesday afternoon. Temple Lodge No. 6 A.F. & A.M. will be in charge; the Rev. James G. Brawn, as chaplain. The body will be taken on Train No. 4 Wednesday evening to Topeka, Kas. for interment. Exter Mortuary is in charge. Please omit flowers. Submitters Note: Mr. Miller moved to Topeka from Ohio with his family about 1880. He married Miss Minnie Etta Frantz, a native of Topeka, about 1903 and three children were born in that city. After Edward's death, Minnie moved back to Topeka where she died in 1947. I assume they are both buried in the Topeka Cemetery but have been unable to locate any information in that regard. If anyone can help provide an obituary for Minnie or a cemetery record I would be most appreciative. Thank you, Linda McClendon
