    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Tuesday October 22, 1918 Deaths and Funerals. Andrew ELLIS, age 40, died at his home, 612 Western avenue, Monday evening. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from the residence. Burial in Topeka cemetery. Benjamin ADAMS, age 48, died this morning at a local hospital. He lived at 121 North Madison. Funeral arrangements later. Royal MERRITT, age 53, died thsi morning at his home 221 North Madison. Funeral arrangements later. H. Lee SMITH, of Wichita, son of Mr. and Mrs. S.S. Smith, 516 Lane street died in Tucson, Ariz. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence of his parents. Burial in Mt. Hope cemetery. John CHATIN, died this morning in a local hospital. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock. Burial in Mt. Auburn cemetery. George C. BOWMAN, age 34(?), ?38 Green street, died this morning. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Burial in Mt. Auburn cemetery. Mrs. S.W. LANTZ, age 69, died at her home, 1531 College avenue, at 12:24 this morning. She is survived by her husband, one son, George Lantz, of Lyons, and a daughter, Mrs. W.H. TANDY, of Topeka. Funeral announcements later. Mrs. Mary E. PERINE,age 73, died at her home, 123 East Eighth street, Sunday evening. Funeral announcements later. Mrs. Martha L. ARRINGTON, age 75, died Monday morning in a local hospital. She was the mother of Mrs. C.H. MATTHEWS, 715 Buchanan street. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock from Penwell's chapel. Burial in Topeka cemetery. Frank D. FLEMING, of San Francisco, formerly of Topeka, died Saturday. He was a son of Mrs. W.F. CLOUGH, 321 Quincy street, and a nephew of H.C. MARTIN, 915 Harrison street. Raymond WALKER, a former resident of Kanas, died in Oklahoma City, Thursday. He is survived by two sisters, Miss Emelda WALKER and Mrs. Ida WOODS, of Topeka and a brother, Hy Walker of Brookville, Mo. Mrs. Ella B. SHEPHERD, died October 13, at her home in San Bernardino, Cal. She lived in Topeka for many years. The family moved to California two years ago. Mrs. Josie RICE, age 45, died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral was held this morning at 10 o'clock from Conwell's North Topeka chapel. Burial in Mt. Auburn cemetery. William MEIRIES, age 46, died Friday at his home, 324 Branner street. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'lock from Penwell's chapel. Burial in Topeka cemetery. Nicholas LAINACKER, age 8, died Monday night at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Lainacker, 123 North Locust street. The funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 9:45 o'clock from the St. Joseph's Catholic church. Burial in Mt. Calvary cemetery. Charles McCOY, age 69, died this morning at a local hospital. Funeral announcements later. The funeral of Louis CLARK, who died Monday evening at his home, 913 North Tyler street, will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in Rochester cemetery. (NOTE: Yesterday's newspaper had this gentleman listed as Lewis Clark.) The funeral of Frank BOYLE, who died Monday in a local hospital, was held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the residence. Burial in Rochester cemetery. The funeral of Peter HOLTZMAN, 460 Emmett street, will be held at 9(?) o'clock tomorrow morning from the St. Joseph's Catholic church. Burial in Mt. Calvary cemetery. The funeral of Mrs. Margaret KRANTZ and infant son, John, 521 Sardou street, was at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon from the St. Joseph's Catholic church. Burial in Mt. Calvary cemetery.
