    3. The Topeka Daily State Journal Monday October 21, 1918 Deaths and Funerals. Mrs. Edward BUMGARDNER, formerly Miss Lua McCAMMON, of Valley Falls, died at her home in Lawrence, Sunday morning. The funeral was held this afternoon at 3 o'clock form the home of her grandmother, Mrs. George GOODRICH at Valley Falls. Edmond V. KREIPE, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Kreipe, died at the home three miles east of Topeka Sunday. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock from the Big Springs Catholic church. Burial in Big Springs cemetery. H. Lee SMITH, age 43, son of Mr. and Mrs. S.S. SMITH, 516 Lane street, died Thurday in Tucson, Ariz. Smith left Topeka eighteen months ago to make his home in Wichita. Then he went to Arizona on account of his health. His wife and mother and father survive him. Burial in Topeka. Announcements later. Maria RAMOS, the 3-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Ramos, of 206 Kline street, died this morning. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence. Burial in Mt. Calvary cemetery. Peter HOLTZMAN, age 22, died this morning at a local hospital. He lives at 420 Emmett street. Funeral announcements later. Mrs. Anna BURGHART, age 38 died, this morning at her home, 506(?) Sardou avenue. Funeral announcements later. Mabel CRAIG, age 26, died Saturday at her home, 610 West Tenth street. The body will be sent to Harveyville, Kan., for burial. Byrd HUMPHREYS, age 30, died Sunday monring in a local hospital. The body will be sent to Kezil, Ky., for burial. John KRENTZ, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. John KRENTZ, 421 Sardou avenue, died Sunday at the residence. Funeral announcements later. Frank BOYLE, age 36, died Sunday in a local hospital. The funeral will be held from the residence at 424 Grant avenue Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The services at the grave will be in charge of the Wampanoa Tribe. Burial in Rochester cemetery. Mabels WATTS, age 31, died Saturday at her home in St. Joseph, Mo. The funeral was held this morning at 10:30 o'clock from Conwell's North Topeka chapel. Burial in Topeka cemetery. Romeo AMRO, age 22, died this morning at his residence, 109 Adams. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the residence. Burial in Mt. Calvary cemetery. Mrs. Martha L. ARRINGTON, age 75, mother of Mrs. E.H. MATTHEWS, 715 Buchanan street, died this morning at a local hospital after an illness of several months. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 4 o'clock from Penwell's chapel. Burial in Topeka cemetery. Mrs. Josie RICE, age 45, died Saturday in a local hospital. Th efuneral will be held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock from Conwell's North side chapel. Burial in Mt. Auburn cemetery. Charles BRIGHT, age 44, died this morning at his home, 1107 North Van Buren street. Funeral announcements later. The funeral of William JOSLIN, of Kansas City, Mo., who died in a local hospital, Saturday morning was held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the home of L.B. Rousseau, 1116 West Sixth street. Burial in Topeka cemetery. The funeral of William COOPER who died Sunday in a local hospital will be held in Kansas City on Tuesday afternoon. Cooper a retired engineer of the Santa Fe. The funeral of Edward Wesley WALTERS, nephew of Mrs. J.W. Lipper, who died at the base hospital at Fort Riley, was held this afternoon at 4 o'clock form Penwell's chapel. Burial in Rochester cemetery. The funeral of Lewis R. TAYLOR, who died Saturday at his home east of Topeka will be held from the residence Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial in Rochester cemetery. The funeral of Peter ARTZER and his wife, Mary ARTZER, who died Friday at their home, 129 Jackson street, willbe held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the residenc. Burial in Mt. Calvary cemetery. The funeral of Lorena BURGHART, aged 3(?), daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Burghart, of 446(?) Wilson avenue, who died Saturday was held this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the St. Joseph's Catholic church. Burial in Mt. Calvary cemetery. The funeral of Lewis CLARK, age 40, who died Sunday morning at his home, 913 North Tyler street, will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Services in Rochester cemetery.
