The Topeka Daily Capital Friday November 1, 1957 John V. Rogers. John Vernon ROGERS, 73, of Willard, died Wednesday night in a Topeka hospital. He was born January 16, 1884, in Ohio and had lived in the Dover and Willard communites since he was seven years old. He was a member of the Dover Federated Church, the Dover Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite bodies and the Arab Shrine. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Minnie Rogers, of the home; a son, Clyde Rogers, Rossville; a daughter, Mrs. Ocea ZALEUKE, Topeka; four grandchildren; two brothers, Abe Rogers, Tucson, Ariz., and Paul Rogers, Willard; and three sisters, Mrs. Abbie EVERETT, San Bernardino, Calif.; Mrs. Ruth PAGE, Rossville; and Mrs. Helen TABER, Dover. Funeral services will be at the Dover Federated Church with burial in Dover Cemetery. Parker Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
