The Topeka Daily Capital Saturday November 23, 1957 Miss Edith Switzer. Miss Edith Gray SWITZER, 61, a former Topekan, died Thursday at the home of a sister, Mrs. Ross TUDOR, Kokomo, Ind. The daughter of the late John F. Switzer, she was born August 13, 1896 in Topeka. She attended Topeka public schools and was a Washburn University graduate. Miss Switzer also attended DePauw University and the University of Chicago. She worked in various libraries and was a reference librarian in Huntington, W.Va., until her retirement in June 1957. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Huntington. Miss Switzer also was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority at Washburn. Besides her sister she also is survived by two brothers, Joe Switzer, Kolomo, and Adm. Wendell Grey Switzer, Jacksonville, Fl. Services will be at 4 p.m. today in Kokomo. Graveside services will be held in Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka. Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
