The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday January 6, 1952 Mrs. Bertha Meyers. Mrs. Bertha Christina MEYERS, 79, wife of the late Martin MEYERS, died at the home of her son, Ray MEYERS, in Burlingame Friday night. She was born October 17, 1873, in Lincoln County. At 17, she went to Joliet, Ill., to study music and while there took up dressmaking. She established a dressmaking shop in Peterson, where she stayed until her marriage March 4, 1896. Survivors include three brothers, Thomas A NEWTON, Edward Newton and Fred S. Newton, all of Burlingame; a sister, Mrs. Hattie W. OLSEN, Salina; six granddaughters, and five great-grandchildren.
