The Topeka Daily Capital Tuesday April 7, 1936 Old Settler Dead. Miss Anderson a Resident of State Since 1866. Miss Florence M. ANDERSON, died Monday at her home, 1329 Fillmore street, after an illness of several months. She was born July 11, 1861, near Greencastle, Ind., and moved to Pottawatomie county with her parents when she was five years old. She had made her home in Topeka since 1873. She was a member of the Central Aveune Christian Church, the Royal Neighbors of America and had been secretary of Harmony Rebekah lodge 25 years. She is survived by her brother, James I. Anderson, Silver Lake; a niece, Mrs. Fred D. COFFMAN of the home address, and a nephew, Guy M. OFFIELD of El Paso, Tex., both of whom she raised. There also were other nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
