The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday February 7, 1952 Fall Down Stairs Kills Mrs. Ellen Simmons, 58. Mrs. Ellen Belle SIMMONS, 58, of 501 Emmett, died Wednesday morning from injuries received in a fall down a flight of stairs at the home of Mrs. W.J. BRYDEN, 434 Topeka, where she was employed. Her neck was broken, according to Dr. Donald Macrae, county coroner. Mrs. Simmons was born September 19, 1893 in tecumseh and was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church. Her husband, the late George H. Simmons, died in April 1947. She is survived by two daughters, Miss Edna Simmons and Miss Lois Simmons, both of Topeka; a son, George R. Simmons, Lecompton; a sister, Mrs. Elsie McHENRY, Phoenix, Ariz.; four brothers, Wilbur, Orville and Lou FRAKES,all of Tecumseh; and Howard FRAKES, Topeka, and three grandchildren.
