The Topeka Daily Capital Monday March 6, 1961 Lula S. Blue. Mrs. Lula S. BLUE, 81, a resident of Carbondale for 65 years, died Sunday in the Masonic Home in Wichita after a long illness. She was born Nov.11, 1879, in Missouri, and was a member of the Carbondale Community Congreagational Church and Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Philip FINLAY of Carbondale, Mrs. Charles WATSON, 1214 Warren, and Mrs. Carl DEARDOFF of Seattle, Wash.; a son, Frank HUGHES, of Escondido, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Jennie GLEASON, 1031 High; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Community Congregational Church with burial in the Carbondale Cemetery. She will lie in state at the McMichael Memorial Home this evening and until 11 a.m. Tuesday.
