The Topeka Daily Capital Tuesday June 13, 1939 Mrs. Martha J. Gardiner. Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Jane GARDINER, 83, wife of the late, John W. GARDINER, who died Monday at her home, 1124 Grand Avenue, will be Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary.Burial will be Mount Hope Cemetery. She was born August 21, 1855, at Mt. Pleasant, Ill., came to Kansas at the age of four and had been a resident of Topeka for the past fifty-seven years. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Surviving are one son, J.W. GARDINER, Topeka; three daughters, Mrs. Edna CURRIER, Greenwood, Ark.; Miss Fay and Miss Sibyl GARDINER, both of the home.
